Will it Become Law that High School Students Apply to College?

As reported in USA Today, two New Mexico lawmakers are promoting their proposal to require high school juniors to either apply to at least one college or demonstrate they have made other post-graduation plans.

The bill is being sponsored by Republican Representative Nate Gentry and Democrat Senator Daniel Ivey-Soto and if passed, would become a high school graduation requirement for all New Mexico students.
