Is There An Honors College/Program For You?

imagesA path to consider, often off the main grid,  is the honors college. Honors colleges give students the opportunity to study in a smaller, more elite program within a larger, often public, university.

There are dozens of honor colleges and programs across the country where a student can study and benefit from the following:

  • Reduced tuition and/or scholarship opportunities
  • Special perks such as preferred housing and teaching facilities
  • Study among high achieving peers
  • Socioeconomically diverse population of students as a part of a larger university
  • Small classes
  • Internship opportunities

Honors colleges and programs offer an additional choice to high achieving high school students searching for an academically challenging environment or to those who cannot consider costly private colleges and universities.
