ACT has announced changes to the test score reports they send to students to begin in 2015. While the ACT’s 36 point scoring system will remain unchanged, ACT will include new readiness indicators to supplement current score reports.
The goal of these readiness indicators is to give students, parents and educators insight to a student’s strengths to more effectively plan study and career pathways. These new indicators include:
- STEM (short for science, technology, engineering and math) Score
- Progress Toward Career Readiness Indicator
- English Language Arts Score
- Text Complexity Progress Indicator
And while the ACT Writing Test will remain optional, this section will be modified to better measure students’ ability to write analytically.
