Several colleges and universities have delayed their early decision application due dates to offer students additional time to submit their applications as they face technical complications arising from the new Common Application.
Schools including Dartmouth, Tufts, Barnard, Columbia, Duke, Northwestern and the University of Chicago announced a new November 8th deadline. Boston University pushed their deadline to November 15th and Syracuse to December 1. These announcements follow earlier announced extensions by the Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of North Caroline at Chapel Hill from October 15th to the 21st. With many students have faced difficulties submitting applications as result of some of the changes in the Common App, it’s a good idea to submit your application, early, regular or rolling, as soon as you’re ready.
