ACT Embraces the Future

Today, The New York Times reported that the ACT will be administered by computer, beginning in the spring of 2015.

The paper and pencil test will continue to be available until all schools serving as test centers have the technology necessary to offer the computer version of the exam. Although the format will remain the same, the computer ACT will offer students the ability to solve some problems virtually.

Fun fact: The first ACT was given in November 1959 to around 75,000 students. The test fee was $3.
